It’s just not Fall until you have visited a Pumpkin Farm to enjoy the country charm and choose that perfect pumpkin! This year we decided to pay a visit to Burt’s Pumpkin Farm in the North Georgia Mountains, near Dawsonville, Georgia.
We knew we were in for something special from the moment we pulled into the parking lot, and saw family after family wheeling those Burt’s Farm wheelbarrows to their cars, full of the most colorful and biggest pumpkins I’ve ever seen! Whether you’re looking for a mini pumpkin or a 150 pound pumpkin, Burt’s Farm has it all and everything in between! Grab a wheelbarrow, and let the fun begin!
Besides pumpkin picking, Burt’s Farm also offers hay rides through their pumpkin fields and shopping at their Country Store. Find everything you need to decorate your home, from whimsical Halloween decor, to bails of hay and stalks of corn!
To satisfy your taste buds… you’ll find an assortment of jams, jellies, pie fillings, pickled edibles, pumpkin pies, pumpkin rolls, and a variety of other baked goods…. and FREE samples!! I think I tried everything!! Surprisingly, the Moonshine Jelly was my favorite. OK… well, maybe that’s not so surprising. 🙂
Annabel had an absolute blast. Not only did she love the pumpkins, but loved watching all of the kids run around in sheer excitement. Burt’s Farm is a perfect place to bring your children for a fun afternoon…. but a fun place for adults who love the spirit of fall, as well!
This was our first time introducing Annabel to pumpkin picking….. I’m excited to make this a yearly tradition! And next year, she’ll be one of those little ones running through the pumpkin patches! Can’t wait to see that!
If you haven’t made it out to pick that perfect pumpkin….. you still have 1 week left! For those of you in Georgia…. definitely make it out to Burt’s Farm.. it’s worth the trip!!
