The other day, I was in the market, and noticed a display of pecans… and I thought – It’s a sign… it’s time to dust off that Candied Pecan recipe!! There’s just something about the smell of roasted pecans at this time of the year… they smell like the holidays! These Candied Pecans actually used to be a go-to holiday recipe of mine. But, as a mom of a 14 month old.. to say I’ve spent the past year or 2 behind on things is an understatement!! Needless to say – it’s been a while since I made these! Boy am I happy that I saw that display of pecans! I forgot how amazing these are!! There is just NO comparison to the store bought version!!
When I first began making these pecans, I actually made them to top my salads. Eventually, I added them to my Holiday buffets, and packaged them as gifts. I even added them to a fudge recipe to make Candied Pecan Peanut Butter Fudge. There really are so many things you can do with these…. Top your Ice Cream Sundae… Add them to a cheeseboard… Mix them into your morning oatmeal….
These are so simple to make… you’ll kick yourself for ever buying them in a store!!
